SpinetiX Hyper Media Player (HMP-100)
The HMP 100 from SpinetiX offers a unique, cost effective media server and storage device that has many advantages over a PC based system. The HMP 100 is an ideal product for the digital signage market, as it allows users to schedule, combine, update, stream and display visual and audio content without the need for a PC.
- Extremely small – at just 105(w)x26(h)x83(d)mm and weighing just 190g (6.7oz) the HMP 100 can very easily be integrated into a system without requiring added storage space e.g it can be mounted to the rear of a display
- Robust & reliable – the HMP 100 uses solid state storage (2 GB) making it far more reliable than a standard PC hard disk that has mechanical parts that wear and often fail over time
- No heat generation – with no moving parts the box does not generate the heat a PC would generate, therefore internal and external ventilation is not required. No internal ventilation means that the box has a solid case stopping the build up of dust and foreign bodies, again enhancing the reliability
- Low power usage – with power consumption of only 2W compared to a typical PC’s usage of 100w the HMP 100 is considerably cheaper to run and better for the environment, making it a far greener alternative
- Lifetime warranty – Spinetix are prepared to reinforce the reliability of their product by offering a lifetime warranty
- Use as a network device or standalone server – the HMP 100 works as a client based system that can pull content and be controlled from a central network or it can be a self contained server by storing the content on its internal 2GB storage or a USB device

SpinetiX Hyper Media Director (HMD) Software solution
HMD is the software developed by SpinetiX to simplify the process of creating, previewing, scheduling and publishing digital signage content on a HMP 100 device. It gives users a simple and intuitive interface to control content on a single HMP 100 or manage a distributed network of multiple devices.
There are three versions of the software;
- Standard license ships FREE with every HMP 100 to manage up to ten HMP 100 units from a single network node.
- Professional license for control of an unlimited number of units from one single network node
- Professional enterprise version increases the number of computers controlling an unlimited number of HMP100s from one to twenty.
