New Firmware and Polycom product changes
Polycom has released firmware version HDX2.6 for all the HDX products. This has resulted in a number of improvements and product changes;
- 720 and 1080 versions of HDX9000, 8000 and 7000
- High profile H.264 video at far lower bandwidths (512k)
- Inclusion of all required content sharing and dual monitor software in basic models
- Easier product selection with far fewer product codes to learn and decipher - the XL and XLP bundles are no longer available as the content software is included in all systems. The only option required is Multipoint software
- Ability to upgrade previously installed systems with all the benefits of the latest firmware (free if under a support contract)
